On social media, a claim of giving cash assistance of 2 lakh is being made by the Central Government under a photo scheme. It has been said in the message that on the occasion of National Girl Child Day, in the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme, cash assistance of 2 lakh is being provided by the government.
Betrayed in the name of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana
The address for sending the form under this scheme has also been reported to the Government of India, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Shastri Bhawan, Delhi. It has been clarified by the Ministry of Women and Child Welfare in Delhi that several incidents of such fraud have already happened in their cognizance. They have also issued a warning on their official website to protect them
Selling lime by selling forms
It came to the notice of the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India that some unauthorized sites / organizations / NGOs / individuals are selling forms under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao scheme in the name of cash incentives. There is no provision for individual 'cash transfer component' by the Government of India in this scheme.
Getting cheated
Government agency PIB has also denied any such cash help. In fact, by tricking people to get two lakh rupees from the government, some fraudsters are selling forms for 200-500 rupees. Then in the name of filling it, getting it verified by sarpanch and sending it to Delhi, they are taking 500 rupees more. A person is being licked for Rs 1,000 in this affair.
